The Wake-Up Call

In 2018, life threw Tom Scurlock a curveball. His mother’s cancer diagnosis led him to become a substitute teacher, a role that would open his eyes to a critical issue in our education system.

While teaching , Tom witnessed firsthand the technology shortage plaguing our schools:

  • 1 Chromebook shared between 3 students
  • Teachers struggling with limited computer access
  • 25% of school-aged children without a computer or internet at home

In an era where digital literacy is crucial, this digital divide threatens to leave a quarter of our children behind.

Our Goal

At Djelfa, we refuse to accept this status quo. We believe that every child deserves equal access to the tools that will shape their future.

Our Commitment: 10% of Djelfa’s profits are dedicated to providing mini-computers or Chromebooks to children in need.
